What does this mean?

By declaring a Climate Emergency Marsh and Micklefield Big Local pledges to:

- Reduce Co2 emissions, pollution and waste

- Increase biodiversity, protect ecosystems

- Build resilience for living within an altered climate

If you want to do something to help the planet - here are some easy things to do:

- Switch to a renewable energy supplier

- Pledge to holiday by train or in the UK next year

- Take one of your weekly car journeys by bus, by foot or by bike

- Reduce (or give up!) beef and lamb
