Where the whole community feels at home!

‘We are more interested in growing people than growing profits - This is what excites us!’

Rebecca
Hills Cafe

We are a not for profit community café, with the aim to reduce loneliness and isolation and increase the opportunities for local residents. We have created an inclusive place where the whole community feels welcome and at home.

We operate as a fully functioning café, serving delicious local sausages and bread, alongside our vast menu of choices including jacket potatoes, sandwiches, and full English breakfasts, scrummy ethical teas and coffees and home baked cakes.

We are open Monday 9-2

Tuesday-Friday 8-3

Saturdays 9-2

We are more interested in growing people than growing profits. As well as reducing isolation by providing a point of contact for people in the community we provide volunteering opportunities, to invest in people of all ages and all backgrounds, providing training, building confidence and helping people to move on in life.

To date we have successfully helped 9 local people get back into paid employment, and countless more have moved on feeling more confident, capable and mentally stronger than before. This is what excites us!

If you would like to volunteer with us then please drop in and fill in an application form. We have managed to secure a fantastic core staff team of 2 who are both from Micklefield, who run the café on a day to day basis and support the volunteers.

We are on Facebook and Instagram @HillsCafeMicklefield, but the best way to see what we are and what we stand for is to come by and see for yourself, we look forward to meeting you soon.
