St Anne’s and St Peter’s - Still Here for You
Read all about how St Anne’s and St Peter’s have transformed the way they are delivering morning prayer
St. Anne’s and St. Peter’s was ready for the lockdown, just. We were sure it was coming so we developed a resource from the internet to make a service ‘for use together in isolation’.
This service, laminated and given to members of the congregation, posted on our website and linked from our facebook page has become the basis of our Sunday service, streamed on Facebook Live at 10am every week. All our team have learned to use the tech, and we are beginning to learn how to include other members of the congregation to lead us in prayer, and to read from the Bible each week.
We are also experimenting with coffee time after the service!
We have introduced a short service of Morning Prayer, that the Church of England put together and can be found on their website here
https://www.churchofengland.or… .
This is led by a different member of the team each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am on Facebook Live for fifteen minutes or so. Thursday mornings at 7.20 am, some of us Zoom into a less structured meeting to pray for the needs of Marsh and Micklefield.
We would love to hear from you if you would like to join us, or if you need us to add our prayers to yours. We know that God hears and answers prayer - so why not join us?!
The link to our events on FB is here https://www.facebook.com/event…
Lastly, we are hoping to start another Alpha course soon, also online, so if you have too much time on your hands, you can join a ten week course exploring the meaning of life, asking all the questions about faith, religion, life and death that you ever wanted to.
